How much does a wedding photographer cost?
What wedding photographers around Sarasota charge, from the prices seven of us publish on our own sites. Packages start from $2,400 to $7,000.
Wedding photographers who work around Sarasota publish packages that start from $2,400 to $7,000, and the most expensive published collection is $8,500. Seven of the nine photographers' sites checked for this guide state a wedding price. Mine is the lowest package price of the seven: my packages run from $2,400 to $3,520, with two photographers.
I'm Nikki Seiler, a wedding photographer based in Myakka City. This guide uses only prices that can be checked: each figure is on the photographer's own site, linked here, as it read on 1 October 2026. It quotes no national average, because none could be read at its source for this guide.
How much do wedding photographers charge in Sarasota?

Two things to keep in mind when you read it. Most of these are starting prices. And the packages are not the same length, so compare hours before you compare dollars.

Is $4,000 a lot for a wedding photographer?
$4,000 is in the middle of what photographers around Sarasota publish. Of the seven starting prices above, three are below $4,000 ($2,400, $3,000 and $3,500), one is exactly $4,000, and three are above it ($6,000, $6,500 and $7,000).
What $4,000 buys differs by photographer. On the pages above it is the bottom of one photographer's range, $2,000 short of the smallest collection at another, and more than the largest package I list. The pricing page answers what $4,000 covers with me.
What changes the price of a wedding photographer?
Three things change the price on the pages above: hours, a second photographer and what is included.
- Hours. Britt & Bean prices its collections by length: $6,000 for six hours, $7,000 for eight and $8,000 for ten. My packages are priced by length too.
- A second photographer. Britt & Bean's two larger collections list two photographers and its smallest does not. Mark Davidson offers a second shooter as an add-on or in higher collections. Jaeger Haus says its most popular packages include one. Mine include two photographers at every length.
- What is included. Britt & Bean's two larger collections include an engagement session. Mark Davidson lists an album and an engagement session as add-ons or as part of higher collections.
How much is a wedding photographer by the hour?
One of the other pages publishes an hourly rate for weddings. Love & Style Photography lists hourly coverage from $450 an hour with a two-hour minimum, so its shortest coverage starts at $900.
I publish an hourly rate as well, and a separate price for elopements. Both are on the pricing page, beside the packages.
How should you compare wedding photography prices?
Compare what each price covers before you compare the prices. The table above suggests four questions to ask:
- How many hours does this price cover?
- Is a second photographer included, or extra?
- Is an engagement session or an album included, or extra?
- Is this the starting price or the whole price?
Then look at the photographs. The weddings page shows weddings I have photographed, each with its own album.
